Protection of disabled children from all forms of violence and strengthening referral networks through hearing impaired children
Deaf children in Uganda are forgotten humanities. There exist negative attitudes and social taboos against People with Disabilities (PWD) in many parts of Uganda. This leads to the neglect of vulnerable children especially deaf, blind and the handicap children leading to abuse of their rights including sexual abuse where girls are more disadvantaged than boys. People take advantage of deaf and blind young children and abuse their rights including sexual abuse since they cannot speak or see.
